Where can I find a list of bboard moderators?

Is there a list of moderators. This info should be readilly available to all bboard members.

How does one become a mod?

And are mods allowed to push their political beliefs onto non-mods (and supress those they do not agree with)?

Thanks...

When entering into any forum, not threads or topics, go to bottom of page and look to see who is the Mod for that forum. When Mods enter discussions, they become part of the discussion, But NEVER personally attack anyone, much less a Mod.

Just my .02

Where do I look again? I did what you said but I still don't see it.

As for attacks by mods, well some, with direct experience of it happening to them, would disagree. (and is stating this fact also a violation equivilent to 'Sassing the Mods' ?)

On this thread, go to top of page, click general knife discussion, go to bottom of page and find out who is on the bottom right in RED.

At the bottom right of any forum, the moderators are listed in red.

Take some time to read up on the forum rules.

No moderator has forced their opinions on you, you were warned repeatedly about using obscenities and insults.

Perhaps you're correct.

But I still feel that a mod can use subtle methods to squash those they disagree with. And from PM-ing some bboard members, I know my opinion is shared by others. So perhaps there's some truth in it, as well.

Who picks the mods? Is it the owner of the bandwidth?

Read the forum rules. Read the FAQ. This question belongs in Service and Support, where I am moving it from the inappropriate General Knife Discussion.

Is a mod from another topis allowed to issue infractions in a topic they are not the official moderator of?

Is it possible to put a mod on ignore mode?

Is this in the faq? I couldn't find it.

Mods are picked by the owner. Sometimes the owner starts a thread asking for suggestions and or nominations.

You were warned repeatedly about your behavior and responded like a petulent child. You own it, so live with it. Nobody has done anything at all to quash your expressions of your views. Your clear inference that this is occuring is unsupported by the evidence that is right there in the Political Arena for anyone to read. Perhaps an honest evaluation of your own behavior and responses might be a valuable exercise.

A thousand pardons. I shall whip myself with barbed wire as a pennence. May the fleas of a thousand camels fester my armpits for eternity.

And may I always be party to your sagacious wisdom, oh moderator. Words from your lips are like gold leaf applied to the Buddha. Thank you for your kind admonishments. I shall henceforth strive to copy your model behavior.

Still haven't got the hang of civil behaviour, eh?

I have no idea what the situation is, but since mycroft is replying, I'm assuming it's something from "Political".

As for Mods of a specific forum, as has been said, they are listed at the bottom right of that particular forum. There are also the Supermods, Esav, Ken C, Eric, Blues, and Bastid (I'm sure I'm forgetting somebody).

I don't stray into the PA often, but from what I've seen, if mycroft is on your case about something, you probably deserve it. My advice is to relax and listen to the mods. If you do have a problem with one of them, start a thread in S&S. Do not start arguing with them in the other forums.

Heh, heh. OK, are you done now? Got it all out of your system? If so, let's go back to the Political Arena and play nice with the others.

Enough of him.
No reason to have to put up with that type of attitude.

Why not? It was now or the next time he posted.
Some people just like to drag it out once they decide not to be here anymore.

For once, I got something right, not only reported first post as being in wrong forum, but suggested it might be a troll. I think that is a first for me.:D

Yeah, you were right. Several members reported him and some of the regulars in political tried to clue him in. He was given every chance in the world to straighten up but he just wasn't having any of it. Too bad.
