Where can i find bare tanto style blades?

I am looking for a supplier/smith who offers tanto or japanese influenced blades, but I am looking for the blanks, as i would like to wrap the handle on my own. Does anyone know a manufacturer (preferably a smith not a production) who offers this? Im just researching, as i would be doing the project in the distant future when funds opened up once again.
