Where can I get 1 1/2 - 1 13/4 5160?

I'm getting ready to make my ABS test blade and am looking for some 5160 that is 1 1/2 or 1 3/4" wide by 1/4" thick. I'd prefer somebody other than Admiral cause they want you to buy a rather large quantity.
I've got an email in to Kelly Cupples, but last time I checked he didn't have the wide stuff in 5160. Any suggestions?

I have some I can send you. I bought 22' of it a few months ago. How many feet do you need?

Same here.I would be glad to send you some.I get it 22' at a time.I would suggest you get a whole bar from Admiral.You will be amazed at how quick you can use up 22' of steel.

Thanks for the offers guys. God I love this community! If either of you could manage about 6 feet that would do me just fine. I plan on making three big bowies. One for me to test, one for the MS to test, and maybe one for one of my JS knives. Six feet should cover that and leave enough for a few more.... I don't usually make many of these big knives a year. Thats why I cringe at the 22 foot bar (or more specifically the price of the 22 foot bar... :rolleyes: )

Ed, Try a spring shop, thy build springs for trucks and other equipment. A lot of them will sell small pieces to knife makers and then there are the drops. There is a spring shop in Phoenix that caters to a lot of knife makers in this area, Gib
