I'm looking to get my TGLB stripped and turn it into a satin finish, but I don't know where to turn. I definitely don't trust myself to do it on my own.
I called up Busse today and they told me a satin finish won't ever be offered for it. Will it void the warranty if I get anything done outside of Busse? What do I do???

I would guess that it would void your warranty. They have no idea how however did the work done it.

Dunk it in some Citristrip, use brass or hard plastic brush to take the coating off.
Then use scotch brite with some soap to remove the carbonization layer, and voila you have a competition finish Busse in your hands.
If you search the forum you will find tutorials how to strip the coating. One thng is for sure, you will not damage your knife in any way.

Sorry guys, I know my replies are a mess. I don't spend a ton of time on forums so I'm pretty lost.

Use the little icon on the lower right side of each post that has a little quote "bubble" with a plus sign on it - that is the muilti-quote feature - just click that on each post you want to reply to, and then go to the bottom of the page and click "reply to thread" -

Then each thread will be quoted for you in blocks in your reply so that you can write a little text below each quoted post.

Much cleaner.

Have faith in your abilities, Sir. If you can drive an automobile - without running over too many obstacles - then you can master the minor steps of stripping and refinishing/polishing a blade. And I do not believe it would void your warranty as you are not tampering with the overall knife structure in any way.

But, if someone has knowledge counter to this, please weigh in. Good luck in your efforts, and welcome to the club!

I'm almost finished stripping the blade down, I just have the talon holes and the handle to finish up.
Here's my progress so far- http://imgur.com/a/0ml3p
So now I suppose I have to sand it down. The Scotch Brite isn't working as well as I expected it to. Any further tips?

Here we go, I knew something was going to go wrong. The blade has an orange coloring to it now. I thought that it would be the Cirtistrip, but it doesn't wash off. Shown here- http://imgur.com/a/b3XFF
Sorry guys, still haven't gotten the hang of posting pictures directly.
Anyways, should this come off when I sand it? Is it anything to worry about?
