Where can I get a good *smooth* steel?

I was just reading the post about the 204 (I love mine) and a problem I have had is that I can't find a SMOOTH steel anywhere at any price.

Everything I find either has the ridges running the length of the rod, or is diamond-impregnated.

Any suggestions?

I looked at the one that Razor Edge sells, and it looks OK other than being "non-traditional.

Razor's Edge sells a traditional long rod version and the folding one. I got the folding one as it is easier to carry. I just use it like a normal one with the legs extended parallel to each other.

Dry heat - I use the Razor edge steel with the folding legs. But I took the legs off and set them in the groove of the triangle and used the Sharpmaker as normal...like another grit. Hope John forgives me.
