I emailed Okuden and Buy Brown days ago to see what their prices and availability were and have not heard back from either of them. I really need a sheath ASAP. It's hunting season and I am carrying this think in a cheapo nylon job that is not doing the job.

Thanks!

Buy a Spec. Ops 5.5" combat sheath. They'll cost around $35 US and are fully adjustable. The plastic insert can be heated up with a hairdryer for a better fit. And it will be a great sheath till your all kydex one arrives. Let us know what you decide on.

Well that's just durn poor service over the Holiday's, especially with your sheath crisis :eek::barf: You've gotta be kiddin', these guys are master crafters, if you want one off the shelf then look on the shelf! :foot: Ya might have wanted to look into this a tad b4 huntin' season...just a guess  Judas Priest  Sorry for my demeanor but this is beyond imagination  With INFI comes MATURITY!

I had a few email exchanges with Brian (Oku) last week and yesterday.
His email filter ate my first couple of emails too. Best to call him... he'll take care of you.

Good luck.

I emailed them on Monday ( of last week) twice. Then I followed up on Thursday and Friday, Their websites clearly state to email them for info. In my opinion seven days with no response is just poor customer service no matter who you are. If you are out of town the put an auto response in your e-mail. If the master crafters don't want my money I will surely spend it elsewhere not only that I have friends who spend money too, and so do they, if I wanted ill informed childish responses I would have posted this question on a walt disney forum.

Thanks to everyone who responded like adults.

I know Brian is very busy with current orders and getting knives finished for Blade West next weekend, so I'm guessing he is not watching he email quite as close as normal. Unless he happens to have an extra one already made up (which he might, I don't know, I would call), I would guess you would have to wait a few weeks after Sept. 16th. I hope Brian doesn't mind me adding a response, I of course don't speak for him, I did just talk to him the other day thought.

eb07, did you notice that David E asked in post 5 if you needed a sheath for standard or mag handles? He is a maker of Kydex holsters and sheaths. His website is www.kytac.com.

Ouch, I guess he told me! The first Busse always brings forth a certain right of passage. Sorry I won't be able to visit Disney with you, but I understand they have a nice "Mickey Blade" Still available!!!! GO GO GO get em' Think I'll go look and see which of my 14 Busse's I will play with today, maybe get around to filling out that pesky mousekateer's enrollment form. Or, I'll just wait on my Gannnnnzzzzaaaa blades! Who knows, but it will be fun, either way, NO REGRETS! EB, sorry you took offense, to my observations of your post. Let's face it Mr. Disney, you started your post about how long does it take to get one from the BCS, what with all the mileage and such. You have been looking for extra treatment/service from the beginning.....don't misunderstand my thoughts, young man. We that have hovered for a while, whether posting or not, have some hash marks! Please, don't try to offend...cause it doesn't!

WOW you have 14 Busse's. So what? Is that you bragging to try and justify your existence? Self esteem issues maybe? I understand now and will take any and all of your posts toungue in cheek from now on. God forbid anyone EXPECT customer service nowadays. Thank god some companies still believe in it. As a small business owner I demand good customer service because I give it. I also do not leave any e-mails in my box for longer than 24 hours and if I am busy I put in an autoresponder. Sorry but I expect it. If I don't get it I spend money elsewhere. Also asking questions in this forum hardly means I was looking for extra treatment, Have I been bitching that I haven't recieved my Scrofa yet? NO. I understand. I was just trying to get an idea of shipping time on an IN STOCK knife. But I guess you are so busy trying to prove your dominance, and justify your existence by trying to post to appear smarter, having more knives, and being more seasoned than others you failed to comprehend that. Work on that self esteem will ya?

Anyway I contacted Eric at on scene tactical and he responded in a timely fashion and he will be getting my money. Thanks everyone for the info.

Sorry I missed that post. I am ordering from On Scene Tactical. Thanks to David and others for responding.

I considered not posting on this thread, but decided that there were a couple of reasons to do so..

1) Let folks know I'm still alive and well ("The Ducci" hit the nail on the head reference my situation BTW)

2) Thank some folks for their support (you know who you are I think ;) )

3) Make some info public:

I've had to turn the spam filter all the way up and it does sometimes toss stuff I wish it wouldn't. My phone number is on the site for just such an emergency and I encourage it's use.

Current wait time is still 6-8 weeks at present, but I am working mightily to reduce it. (Making it unlikely that I would be able to have something ready soon enough for eb07 in any case.)

Please remember, it's not the time to make the sheath you are ordering, it's all the orders in front of yours that take time... Additionally, I fill orders in the following order 1-Deploying MilPers, 2- Milpers and Law Enforcement/Emergency services, 3- contract orders, 4- All others (this info is also on my website).

Back to the grinder!

I would add a:thumbup: for Eric and On Scene Tactical, he does good work for a very good price.

eb07, glad you found a sheath:thumbup:

Please never hesitate to ask any type of question here. Most people here will try to help you.

Oku, You Rock!
