where can I get a tek-lok?

Hey, check it out, I've got a spare large TekLok if that's the size you're looking for. Didn't even think of it when I first answered your post. I don't have extra mounting screws or washers to go with it-just the TekLok. If you can use it, email or PM me your address, and I'll send it to you.

Thank you so much for the offer, but I need the small one. I want to use my Chavar custom "fang" in horizontal carry. It's a small knife, intended to be a necker (4.5 inches OAL).

You'll need to drill the sheath for the Tek-Lok - make sure there's enough area that can take the drill holes and not position the sheath to your disadvantage.

Maybe check with Ed - he does a very nice horizontal sheath for his other knives and might provide one just for your Fang knife - then you'll know it will work well.

I like small fixed blades and horizontal carry, too.

One of these came with my DDR ALB, and it is the best attachment I've used for horizontal carry. Been meaning to get a couple more of them. They're a pain in the butt to install the first time or two 'til you get the hang of it, but it carries very flat, and would be less obtrusive than a TekLok (fits sheaths that take the small TekLok). Cheaper, too.
Also works for vertical carry.
