Hi there,
I was on a market for a tactical folder when i came across the benchmade balisong. Forgot all about the folder and i would really would like to get one of these instead.
Why do i need it quick? Well my aunt is going to visit us in the philippines in a couple of weeks. It would be better to ship it to her address in the states and then she'll just bring it with her. Are there any restrictions for her to bring a balisong in her baggage?
Most of the sites i visited are back-ordered. Are there any other sites where they still have them in stock?
Thanks

There is no law against exporting a balisong from the US. I'm not sure what you have to do to get on an airplane with a balisong though.

Anyway, get your balisong within 2 days here. And they have wonderful customer service.

I'm no expert, but as long as you keep the knife in the luggage, it should be okay.

I'm just curious, but why not a FHM? How much do they actually run down there? (USD)

I'm sorry but what's FHM?

We don't have the BM 42 available here. Only the local balisongs.

That is what they are (the local balisong) people refer to them as FHM for short, but they are:
Filipino Hand Made.

thanks guys for all the information.

have to contact my aunt first before i order, just to convince her that it's ok to bring in a knife from the states to the philippines.

as to why i'm getting a BM42 instead of a local balisong. i already have several balisongs and would like to see and feel how good this BM42 really is.

i bought my first balisong from my allowance 20 years ago when i was 12 (actually forced my dad to buy it for me) made of brass and stag. also got a pen type, small keychain type, and different designs and colors. got lots of nicks on my hands practicing everyday and enjoying every moment, but i lost the interest during college. I want to get the feeling back, and wouldn't it be nice to start with a BM42.

Asking how much a Filipino Knife cost in the Philippines is pretty much like asking how much does an American made knife cost. It all depends on the quality of workmanship, the size, how plain or fancy it is, and if you buy it wholesale from the person who is making it, or if you go to the store and buy it retail. Also, it depends on how good of an exchange rate you get for your money.

I hope your Aunt doesn't live in CA or else.. urghh that'll be tough.. all in all ingat lang pare.. sobrang astig yung BM42. These beat any balisong you can buy from home

What's wrong with CA? Anyway my aunt lives in New Jersey, are there any restrictions there?

sniperboy, salamat sa 'yo kabayan. Now I can't wait to get my BM42.

Just ordered the BM42 from 888knivesrus at $119.95. They said they would get them in a couple of days. They do have the serrated ones though, but decided to wait for the plain edge.

Still waiting.....
