Hello Im the proud new owner of a Becker BK2.This is my first Becker knife.I love it and I can see more Becker's in my future.I know this has probally been asked many times over so Im sorry for the inconvience.Im looking for a place where I can get a set of grips for my BK2.Don't get me wrong the stock one's are just fine but I wanna snaz it up some.I was looking at the ones kabar offers but don't really care for the color.I would like to have a set of black or od green micarta and a set of wood in osage orange. If anybody could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.
I know I could search here but im posting this from my phone so ira's not really possible at the moment.

Hello Longgunner I'm new around here but I will tell you what I know. You can get micarta "grips" or scales at some of the companies that sell BKT like Tomars Ka-Bars or there are some guys here on the forum that make beautiful wooden scales. I'm to new around here to remember all their names, but I am sure people will start chiming in here pretty soon

Idaho hit the nail on the head. Aside from micarta there and at Chestnut Ridge, you either have to go the wood route, or homemade, either yourself or see if someone here will do it for you.

Welcome to Becker Knife and Tool, you picked a great knife! Easily my favorite knife currently. We have a fella by the name of Sh@rp here that is doing some interesting stuff in aluminum scales too, so you might see if his are something you might be interested in as well. Good luck!

I bought a moose antler at a gun show I think its going to be big enough to make a set for one of my beckers try making your own if you go the tools

Making your own is very satisfying, there's a how to somewhere around here.

Micarta, G10, or wood; Dremel tool with grinding bits; drill or, better, drill press; files; hack saw; filter mask; and some time. You can make your own, not real hard. Can be fun, too.

There are also a few of us who make custom laminations like Fod over at Shadtree Composites is one and he does up some cool burlap handles. I do mixes of paper, canvas and other textiles and these are just some of the cutoff ends from those slabs for handle scales. For the mass produced G10 and micarta from the major knife supply shops it seems to be all the same stuff so just look to see who has the best prices and selections to what your looking for.
