Well I just realized that after almost everyday I have to tighten the screws on my bm42a. I just looked back at another thread that someone had the same problem. But the replys he got didnt have a place where you could buy some. I figure that it would be at the hard ware store. Am I right? If not can someone please tell me so I can maybe get some tonight. Also how much does it cost and Im suppose to get the blue one, right ? Thz to whoever replys.:D

Another thing. It aperars that the back side of my blade is rubing against the inside of my handles so the nice finish on the side of my blade doesnt have the finish anymore. It has some mirror scraches.I guess this is from my bali being loose ?

Chinese man,

I havent seen this fix before bt I would think you want the blue Loc Tite. Its the low strength. It has a break/prevail strength of 60/30 ft/lbs i believe. The red stuff is really heavy duty stuff for automotive. Its break/prevail is like 60/200 if i remember correctly. You can find it at hardware stores or automotive stores.. (PEP-Boys, Trak Auto, Autozone. etc) hope this helps

Thank You, how much does it cost for a bottle/container of the Loc tite?

a few bucks.. get it at wal-mart or any where. buy it off the web or something.. it's not special.. it's a very common product for locking threads.

I got some at a grocery store. You can buy it just about anywhere. It costs about three dollars.

It's inexpensive..., and just about anywhere with a "fix-it" section...just don't get the really strong stuff (as mentioned).

Well I just bought some and i bought the tite'n loctite "for bolts" liquid nut/bolt locker. On the package it says removable so is this the right stuff ?

That sounds like the right kind to me. If you’ve already opened the package, unscrew the lid and see if the color of the glue is blue. If so, you are looking good. Just remember to use it sparingly (like one small drop) and let the knife sit for a while before you start flipping it.

A little goes a long way. Don't over do it. Be sure to clean the screw and threads of any oil first. If you need to adjust or remove the screws later, heat them with a hair dryer, this loosens the loc-tite, so you don't strip the screw heads trying to get them out.

Well the weird thing is, you know on the screws how there is a blue spot. I applied the loc tite and let it sit for half an hour and there isnt any blue spots at all. The lock tit I bought is blue color too. So far it is holding up and I havent had to re tighten it "yet". I will put it through hell tomorrow and then I will see if it holds up or not.:D
