Does anyone know where I can get gray micarta? I'm also trying to find light green micarta, (Preferably linen for both) I can't seem to find either anywhere.

Both Jantz Supply and Tru-Grit have Olive green Micarta. You might also check out (link to non-supporting vendor removed by staff). They have a large variety of composites in different colors.

Unfortunately neither of them have what I’m after.

Thanks B billf for reminding me about Masecraft. unfortunately they don't have anything either (Unless I'm missing something)

S Scaniaman , I don't think the customer would want that, but that does make me think, what if I bleached the finished handle 🤔. And he doesn't want OD green either.

As for using G10, I really do not want to work with that if at all possible.

Right now he's agreed with using terotuf, though I think he would prefer micarta so I'm trying to do everything I can to find it for him.

We buy from the big U.S. phenolic manufacturers. The colors you requested are not standard colors.

If you find the colors I recommend verify where the phenolic was made.

How about Jade scales with a darker liner... It might give a similar effect to what you're looking for...

Oh sorry, Jade micarta.

I can't imagine that real jade makes all that durable of a knife handle.

I see.

I think you would be surprised, and I do really wanna try using it for handles someday! I’m just not looking forward to all the diamond tooling I’m going to have to buy to work it, lol.

Jade G10, not Jade micarta.

Search Gray Micarta in Google. One of the links to a woodworking site had grey/black micarta scales?

You could also get some grey fabric and boat building epoxy (West, System 3, Marine Guard 8000, MAS Low Viscosity epoxy, something with clear color and very very low viscosity, not bondo!!) and make some scales yourself? Cut the fabric, soak it with the mixed epoxy, stack it up and clamp it between some wood boards to let cure. It's messy (ziplock freezer bags and parchment paper help with this), but should produce good scales. The Grey will darken when it is wetted out with epoxy, so a thicker material (quilting backer, or grey denim or canvas, 100% cotton fabric) and a lighter color grey would be your best bet.

GFS knife supplies has gray and several green shades. IIRC, it is in Ultrex Micarta and Ultrex G10. I just got a big batch of green and orange from them. Great prices and fast shipping.
I just saw some of the Tufnol-Micarta they have and am really interested to try some of it, really nice bright colors that aren’t as common here.
