Since I am a basic member, and I cannot access the exchange, can you tell me where I could put it up for sale that it would be noticed?

Seems a bit silly that a paying member can't post on the exchange.

if it is a straight handle just email me and I'll get rid of it for you:D

Membership has its privileges. I think it makes complete sense to provide paying members with special services.

Ebay is a place where quite a few Busses are sold.

If it's a straight handle, don't sell it to Cobalt. He's been snorting them up for years. That's what's not fair.:D

Even though everyone is always watching the sell forums here, most of us keep an eye on ebay as well. If you have something worth buying, put it up for auction and it'll sell. You'll get a fair price if not better!

EBay and Knife Forums will both expect a fee from you.

Did you already pay?

He paid for a Basic Membership which is $10/year and allows the following (and note it specifically states it does not allow posting on the exchange)
Basic Member
Bare bones membership that allows avatars, signatures, limited attachments and private messaging. Does not allow selling in Exchange area

I would suggest upgrading to a Gold Membership so that you can post on the exchange

Someone set up a Yahoo group to sell Busse knives without having to pay for the BF memberships.

Edited out link. You'll have to find this on the SwampRat Forums

Violates letter and spirit of sale rules/guidelines. Infraction issued.

Oh. Yeah well maybe he should buy a membership! I guess everyone thinks that everything on the internet should be free!

Well, he paid for the basic membership - so clearly he isn't looking for a free ride and is willing to support the community.

Hardly. I've paid for a Gold membership probably for about the last 4 yrs, geeze that's like 1 week of Starbucks for me, it's the least I can contribute to keep the lights on in this place much less be able to sell here.

and if he intends to make money here, the rules require a gold or platinum membership.

spark's house, his rules.

I think that having sellers have a membership level is a good idea from a liability standpoint. If someone rips off someone else, Spark has a record of who that seller is (at least, as far as their billing information is concerned when subscribing for the membership). It protects Spark from fly-by-night selling and creates a level of legitimacy.

Don't like it? There's the 'bay...

Upgrade to gold...

What he said. A gold membership really isn't much money. And this place definitely deserves our support.

And on a separate note, if someone has set up a Busse "for sale" forum someplace else, just to avoid paying BF membership fees, and they talk about it in BF, they should be banned, IMO. (Whoever set up the site, I mean. Not people who see it and talk about it, who don't know any better.) They should have their INFI confiscated and delivered to me for safekeeping.
If such a place exists, I certainly won't be using it.
