Where did all the Regulars go all of a sudden?

A few weeks or months ago there was a lg plain regular or small regular on the forums or eBay almost every week. Now of course, when I'm desperately looking for a small plain regular, They are all hiding. It seems like much of CRK interests occur in "waves". or is this just my imagination.

The regulars come and go. Several months from now there will be a little wave of them for sale.

Think it's hard to find a Regular? Heh, try finding a LH Regular. I've seen one come up for sale and I snagged it. I'd like to get a Sm LH Regular but I'm not going to hold my breath for that. I consider it lucky I got a Lg in LH. Of course with all the other LH Sebbies I've bought lately, knowing my luck a Sm LH Regular will come up tomorrow because I'm BROKE! :)

I think it might have something to do with a handful of dealers had some left over stock, I downloaded CRK's dealer list and emailed just about everyone looking for Small and Large Regulars and I found 9 dealers that had 3 or 4 regulars, only 2 of the dealers were selling them at the msrp of 330 and 385 so of course I had to request them , but I recently checked with the remaining dealers if they still had them, and they said they sold them out pretty quickly.

My guess is that the people who bought the s30v ones unloaded them quickly on the forums, and the bg42 ones were either put in a safe or put to use and now it's going to be dry for awhile.

Considering they were discontinued ~ five years ago, it's surprising that there are any left with dealers. The BG-42 to S30V transition was more like a decade ago, and they (BG-42 Sebenzas) don't last long when they are up for sale.

I just picked up another one. It is a numbered large regular that is one of the first 200 regulars made. It has a polished ats-34 blade and the box with paperwork. I kind of like it.

just kind of?... by any chance is it number 44? ;)

I love the large regular and prefer it over the model 21. They are not for sale very long especially if the price is right

Just received my BG-42 from the CR spa. I bought a small regular sebanza display model, but it had been sitting around for over 12 years without any use. CR heated treated the lock bar and now its smooth and it appears new. Now I don't know if I want to use, safe it, or sell it.

There is a large regular at my local shop. They want $650 for it, so it will probably be there a long time.
