Where did all the Vantages go?

I noticed Buck has really cut back on the Vantage line for 2014.

There isn't a Vantage Pro or Vantage Force Pro Tan/OD Green anyone.

I was also hoping there would be a Dymondwood model with S30V. Oh well. On another note, the new Rosewood model looks good except for the polymer enclosure. :rolleyes:

I am waiting for someone to get one and splash out with a pictorial review to see how the rubber baby buggy bumper fits the program. Anybody... Nobody has one yet?
 
Last I heard from Larry was back in May and that was that the rosewood Vantage was delayed due to issues with the supplier, I guess of the rosewood or the bumper material. Haven't heard any more and Larry hasn't shipped mine yet so I guess they are still delayed.
 
Love that 845 Vantage Force Select in Desert Sand and it's under $50. I need to hold off from buying for a while but it's on my radar.

I'm going to EDC this one. I had my eye on a Vantage for over a year.

I just ordered the new Rosewood Vantage. Hoping to get one with early lockup, and a nice looking blade. I've noticed the finish on the 420HC Vantage blades can look rough at times.
 
I just picked this one up on an forum classified ad. New, but without box.

I like the scales on the Vantage Force Pro. They are G10, but have more of a serrated pattern than a checkered pattern like a lot of G10 knives. They are grippy without being like sandpaper or tearing up your pockets.

The various levels of Vantages, Select, Avid and Pro all have different scales and different steels. So there is still a wide variety to choose from.

Here is a pic of a Select, which I believe has nylon scales:

After reading this I just ordered one with the Tan handles...Force Pro...Look like it will be a nice one!

I have have some cool folders but I know I'm going to EDC this Vantage. It's a PERFECT Buck folder.
 
I have a Vantage Force Pro that should be delivered tomorrow or Tuesday. They are still available. I am rally looking forward to getting it too.

I just got my pimped Red and I will say that the Vantage is, by far, one of the finest folders that I own.
I cannot believe the fantastic folder one gets for the insane low price.

This is old stock, they aren't being produced anymore (The Vantage Force Pro with Tan and Green scales).

Glad I have one coming then. I think I will like it a lot. They may have cut back because of the price of the s30v blade, but I like good steel.
