Where did all the Yojimbo 2's go?

So, I've been considering a Yo2 for a while, and decided that it was time to pull the trigger. Lo and behold, all of the major distributors are out of stock! Also, the prices on fleabay have jumped $40-70, seemingly overnight. I was looking last week and they were in stock everywhere. Anyone know what's causing the sudden shortage?
 
Same thing is happening with the Para 2. Golden can't make 'em fast enough to keep up with demand. If you're willing to wait I would guess another run will be in within a couple of months.
 
I picked up 2 as soon as the price dropped. One lives in my edc bag, the other just got finished by tuffthumbz, should be back home soon.

It's a hell of a great blade. I say wait it out til the next shipments hit, then grab one quick.
 
the optimist in me says all these stock-outs are just your usual yuletide season snap-ups to reduce inventories by year-end. these guys are sharp businessmen or their products wouldn't have lasted so long.
