Dan, It was probably on the SOG forum. A number of years ago SOG shot a bullet at the edge of either a SOG Bowie or Carbon steel Tiger shark.:eek: Split the bullet in two. :D Pretty impressive pic. :D

I remember seeing a Kuzan Oda tanto that had split a 38spc (?) in 2 when the bullet was fired at the edge...I cant find the dang website somebody... else might?

same idea, yes, but this one definitely split and shattered the bullet. Can't imagine where it is...thought I saw in over on thehighroad but can't find it there either....:confused:
 
Pen, the accompanying text said that the bullet shown was one of 17 fired. I'm sure it was a movie, so it may have been one of the other bullets 'shattering'. I can see why they'd go with this particular image, though. A knife withstanding a point-blank gunshot proves its tough, but a knife splitting a bullet fired point-blank shows its tough and sharp. (At least as far as the 5th Ave. guys know anyway.)
