As the title states I’m wondering about the origin of the name of the GEC 35 “Churchill.” I’ve searched, but no love. I’d appreciate some insight.

Some of us, myself included, believe that it has to do with the Equal End frame design being shaped like a cigar. GEC has the #53 Cuban, the #68 White Owl, and now the #35 Churchill.
All Equal Ends and all named after types or brands of cigars.

The cigar pattern knives have been named after specific cigars. I don’t think it’s named after Winston, the man, but after the cigars that bear his name.
