Where do I buy a Busse?

Hello,

I'm active duty Air Force and have recently started looking for a new fixed-blade knife and found Busse knives. After looking at a bunch of sites I've decided on an Anorexic Badger Attack.

But, where do I buy one of these? Apparently not from Busse, since their site doesn't list anything like that anymore. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help,
B

First, wrong forum, if you want to buy something.
SECOND, non-paying members aren't allowed to sell.
Please respect the rules so you don't get yourselves kicked out.

Walking Man,

Not to sound rude or anything, i think he was asking for advice like if there are stores or retailers where he can find one. I also think the people on the busse forums would know if there was place like that to help him out.

03Bart, welcome to the forum.

In response to your post, the suggestion should have been to post your inquiry in the WTB forums, and let that forums nature take its course. Too, as was stated, referrals to retail sites were proper also.

There should not have been any offers for sale within this forums.

Yeah, that's true. Thanks.

Sorry if I violated any rules. My first post to the forum was in the WTB forum.

My second post was just to ask about Busse knives.

In particular, I am looking for where to purchase a Busse knife other than the only two knives listed on the company website: Kensei and Skeleton Key. It sure seems like there are lots of different Busse knives out there but I can't find them at any retail outlets (other than the Bladeart link) and the only place I'd seen them listed for sale was in the BladeForums FS forum.

Anyway, in introduction, I'm looking to replace the Spyderco Endura I've carried for the last ten years and decided on a small Doug Ritter Benchmade folder, and then a fixed blade knife to augment that. I found Cliff Stamp's website which led me to the Swamp Rat Howling Rat. Looking at the Swamp Rat site led me to searching on Busse and finding all these really nice looking knives.

So, I'm looking for a < 5" fixed blade for duty and hiking/camping and it seemed like the Badger Attack would be a great blade for that and the Anorexic would be even better since it would be lighter. But, when I searched on them, the only AB's I found for sale were in the Bladeforums archives. So, I joined Bladeforums in the hope of finding out where I could buy a knife like that, since apparently they are not for sale in stores.

Thanks for any advice you can give and, incidentally, if you have something like that for sale I have a post over in the WTB forum.

Thanks again,
B

No worries bro. You didn't violate any rules or anything in your question. It was just that some of the responses could have been different.

Given that Balde Forums is cool enough to host us, we feel that it is right to abide by and respect their rules and guidelines, which call for all sales and requests for sales to take place within the EXCHANGE forums. That was all.

Yes, the AB is a sweet blade, very tough, yet light enough to carry with minimal weight impact. Great choice.

The AB, and the BA3, of which it is based, have been out of production for a coupel years now. You might be able to find a Leaner Meaner, which is aboutthe same size, maybe smaller, and with a bit different design. It only recently was produced, and you may be able to find a base version close to original list.

Please feel free to post questions about the Busse line here. The folks are always most helpful, and a greeat bunch of folks to hang with.

Sale offers not proper in this forum.

My apologies. 03Bart's profile didn't allow emails nor could I post a private message. Sorry for side stepping the rules. Will try to not repeat. :o :o

03bart,

Welcome to BladeForums, and the Busse forum in particular! Both the regular and anorexic version of the BA3 are nice knives. There will be a new version of the Badger Attack coming out (no definite date has been announced); the new version has a re-styled handle :) and large choil :grumpy: . The price announced 2 years ago for the new Badger was $227 without a sheath; I'm not sure if that price is still accurate or not, and an anorexic (.150") version might be a little less. Best wishes finding what you like, AB or otherwise!

Bart,
Welcome to the Busse Forum, I'm glad that you stopped by.

I hope you stick around and join in our discussions.

:D:D

After some more reading, I figured out that Busse doesn't stock all their models and releases them only a couple at a time every month (or something like that, right?).

So, now I see why they only had two different kinds for sale on their site even though I saw the collections of many different styles. I'll be keeping my out for a BA or ABA.

Thanks again,
B

Wow, you're fast!

It took me a lot longer than that to figure out how it works. :o :foot: :D

Actually, it may not be a month per say, more like a few depending on the quatity ordered. I am not really sure. One of the more experienced around here can help you better than I.
