Where do most buy their Buck Limited Editions?

Due to a recent thread about a Limited Edition that didn't meet expectations, I started wondering about something. Where do most buyers get the Limited Editions that they buy? I don't have a lot of sources in my area that even carry anything from the Buck line, much less any fancy models, so having the opportunity to actually check one out before buying hasn't been an option for me.

I did ask at a local brick and mortar store about one and the only way they would get one for me to look at was if I paid in advance for it. I've bought a couple at the Pasadena blade show, but I don't think that counts since they were from collectors and not real "stores".

I have a large number of LE's and every one except for the couple that I picked up at the blade show have been mail order, auctions or online dealers.

In the past mine came from Rogers Arkansas, or the Bay...now that I am in the BCCI I'm considering a different aproach...
Great thread Plumberdv, I'm hoping to learn from it....

Hi Dave,

Very good topic, for the new current year it's Larry Oden or one of the auction sites. For old LE's, Larry Oden's sales list, one of the auction sites, or fellow collectors.

I've never bought anything from Larry's consignment list. Those of you that have, do you ask for pictures of the actual LE being offered or do you go by what the catalogs or stock photos show?

Dave,

I get them site unseen. I know what most of them look like from old ebay auctions or other folks posting photo's here. But, some of them I did not know what they were like until I had them in hand. I have only been disappointed when someone else beat me to the item;).
