Where do small businesses get knives?

I recently retired from the Air Force and I am thinking that our small town needs a knife store. Can anyone recommend a good knife wholesaler or distributor that could provide me with a good variety of knives and accessories for a start up business? If possible I would like a distributor/wholesaler that would have access to some "recognized" knife brands like Kershaw, CRKT, Spyderco, Case, SOG, Smith & Wesson etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would directly contact the company and tell them you own a knife store and would like to sell their product. They may require a minimum amount of knives to be ordered.
 
Becarful knife stores are constantly closing all around even in big cities it's a tuff business

You might try getting a decent amount of knives, and doing a tiny "shop" out of your garage for people who want to come to a physical shop, but make the propriety of the business an online store!

Best of both worlds?
 
Sadly, for every "knife guy/gal" out there ready to spend real coin for a knife (and who'll want to support a local business), there'll be fifty people who:

1. will check out your shop before heading home and buying the knife cheaper online
2. will only want to spend about $30 tops for whatever that buys them
3. will only want something inexpensive, so they'll buy the cheapest knife you sell, whatever that is.

The only places that sell knives in my city these days are the big box camping/sporting goods stores. There is one cool place, but it's also an older old milsurp stuff store that just happens to have a knife counter.
