They are no longer made, can be found on ebay, but usually at a high price if it is in good shape or Barbasol or sonic cleaning is mentioned.

Where do you guy's "find" these old razors?
Any thoughts would be appreciated..., seems like people collect them now and that has run the price up and hurts folks that just want to buy some to use, try out, etc.
Thanks:)

The Shaving Mall over at Badger & Blade is a fantastic place to score vintage razors. You'll need to score a half gallon of Barbicide from your local beauty supply store and sanitize your purchases, goes without saying... You NEED to treat yourself to a birth year Gillette razor. I've relagated DE shaving to a lazy Saturday evening hobby. For the "real thing" I'm all for modern technology... Braun electric and/or Fusion Proglide. Yes, these methods are more expensive. But they produce better results and do so in a much quicker manner, so (for me anyway) it's worth it. But that's an argument for another thread. Score a birth year Gillette. Shave like John Wayne did.

I have been getting mine at the local flea markets. They need to be cleaned and sterilized, but that doesn't take too long to do.
**Warning ** Buying vintage razors can be habit forming, you find them cheap and it doesn't look like that much money is being spent, but the next thing you know you have a cabinet full of old razors. All because you are looking for that perfect razor for you:p

I have already hit that road...,
Whatever I "get into", I become obsessed with it, until something else comes along to take what little money I have left, LOL!!
So far, I like the Slim Adjustable. I would lke to also try a Red Tip, Fat Boy and a Toggle, just gotta try them all:)
I bought a cheapo "Vincent", stay away from it, it is absolutely garbage. The doors do not close correctly, one is angled to the right, the other is to the left, the edge is crooked, the twist to open feels like it is binding, light, hard, light, very hard.
Buying a Vincent razor from ebay was just throwing money away, it is not even usable, but does have a cool case, LOL!!

I am still looking for my slim, what I really want is a slim aristocrat, if I don't find a slim locally by the end of next week I will just buy one online and get it over with.

Right now I am really liking the rocket I picked up last week, if the slim has the same head shape with the ability too fine tune the aggressiveness I think I will have found my go to razor. I have a couple of wheel builds coming up next week and that will give me enough money to by a slim that was gold plated (not a real aristocrat) from an online dealer
