So dealing with Tomars has been like talking to a wall. I hate using pay pal too. So folks, where do YOU get your fixed blade Ka Bars from?....plz dont say the bay lol

I get mine from Cutting Edge Knives. But I'm in Aus so probs doesn't help you bud, sorry. I do this because the exchange rate is poo and I just let Mike take care of all the importing rubbish that I don't want to go through. Also to support Australian business.

His range of Kabars is quite comprehensive so I'm not really missing out on anything you guys are getting. Don't think he's got the Dogs Head FU yet though. Which is the latest one I want. He is also a certified Kabar/Becker supplier/dealer which is why I WON'T buy from PeeBay.

I've bought mine from a variety of sources - tomarskabars.com, knifecenter.com, coyleoutdoors.com, (all BF supporters), pawn shops, antique stores, fleabay, craig's list, "surplus" stores - depends on who has what at what prices at the time I want it or find it. For fleabay, if it is current production, I stop bidding long before it hits *.com prices.

I'm pretty new here but really soaking up some knowledge from this site.
I just had a bad experience with a purchase of a BK24 from a company on Amazon--the knife was bent so I returned it.
I checked out some of the suggested sites here and Tomars looks good with their prices and free shipping.
I had been driving myself nuts trying to decide between the BK14 or the BK24.
I'm gonna call Tomars tomorrow and order both.
Thanks zzyzz

I've looked at the Coyle site--a little more expensive but sounds like it may be worth it. I'll check them out before I order --thanks

Thanks again zzyzz
I did a little figuring and even with shipping Coyle is only a few dollars more than Amazon.
I'm gonna go ahead and buy from them--seem like good people

I've purchased my past few Beckers and accessories through Coyle outdoors. He is Dexwithers here on Bladeforums and an all around awesome guy. I saw him this weekend at the Gathering. He was able to hand me my most recent order and then I bought a few more knives from him.

Second, third, whatever... for Coyle Outdoors. Dex will treat you right.

I bought an old 1217 from a gun specialties store two years back. I bought a Mag. Tanto from a surplus store. Gander Mountain is a good place as well. I have heard that Tobar's is a good place to buy from. I have visited the site, but not bought from them personally.
