As far as I can see, you can pick up a Busse from:
  1. BCS (Only seem to have 3 or 4 models available?)
  2. The forum exchange
  3. Ebay
Surely there must be other places

.....So, where do you get your knives from?

I am located in Australia, so the internet is king when it comes to this type of stuff.

Please help

I just contacted Garth over there at busse and set up my custom with him..just shoot him an email.

You'd be surprised what the elves bring.

I think the main six have been named.

1. Busse Shop (www.bussecombat.com)
2. Busse Company Store (www.bussecompanystore.com)
3. Ganzaaaas (periodic offerings here at BFC's Busse subforum)
4. Exchange
5. Auction Sites
6. Custom Shop (call the Busse shop and grease your credit cards)

All six can get knives to Australia.

I understand your confusion as it was hard for me to understand the Busse model at first.
First off Busse is more like a custom maker than a production company like Spyderco, Benchmade or even Bark River.

Your First option is Busse Combat but they only offer one model at a time but you can cusomize what you want with a limited amount of options such as blade finish and handle material and color. But with that option it will probably be months before the knife is produced and you get it.

The second option is the Busse Comany Store which carries a limited amount of some of the latest models to be Produced by Busse Combat but you can only get the options that they have in stock.(not sure who decides on the options the Store or Combat)but in the case of the store the knife is already produced and you will receive your knife in a timely manner(usually within a week in the states)

A third option is the Ganzaa's which happen here on Blade Forums this usually happens when they have extra stock either from a production run for another customer (usally military) or left over stock from a show. In the case of a ganzaa they will post pictures of what is available and the prices and will give an approximate start time. Then the Big Guy (Jerry) will post a GO!!! and you send an e-mail of what you want and how many.they are distributed on a first come first served basis based on e-mail time.

Last official channel (other than attending show) is the Custom shop expect long waits and high prices for that I usally hear quoted 2yrs and $100 and inch but those are estimates.
Everything else that I know about is secondary market (e-bay,exchange etc.....)

This is how it works to the best of my knowledge but I am hardly an expert and someone who knows different feel free to correct me

I would also add to the lst:

-Alaska Guns and another tactical gear distributor who's name escapes me

However this appears to be a very 'hit or miss' source. For the most part the only formal 'distributor' (other than the shop) is the Busse Company Store.

Don't know where you live...but Busse knives are available at a few gun & knife shows. I'm going to one today...the Indy 1500.

I get mine from the mailman. He is awesome. Every couple of months or so he brings by a couple. I love that guy!!
