Where do you get your cordage?

I live in Ga. & Forest Park Army/ Navy has tons of #550 cord in many colors 50ft., 100ft., 300ft. & 1200ft. spools 100ft. $6.95 usa made. they do have a web site.

"Best?" All you need is products marked as 550 paracord, which is rated to hold 550-lbs and is used as suspension lines on parachutes. It's all the same as long as it meets the specifications for weight and elasticity. There is actually 750 paracord, but this isn't generally available, is bulkier and costs much more.

Just search for 550 paracord online & choose whatever color and length that you want.

A survival/prepper guy turned me on to a product called tech cord by maxim. It is not cheap but it is 5mm with a tensile strength of 5000 lb. 550 paracord is obou 4.5mm. So here is the price. 20ft $22.70,25m $118.70. It might be overkill for most but if you ever need to trust your cord with your body weight it is an option. There are other companies that offer it at similar prices and lengths.

I buy plain ol' regular paracord locally, it gives me an excuse to go into a brick and mortar store and look at their knives and guns and still buy SOMETHING if there isn't anything I really want.
