Each day I check out Cove Cutlery's "Deal of the Day" page. They haven't offered anything I've been specifically looking for yet, but the deals are very good. If and when they offer something on my short list I'll jump at the opportunity.

What are your favorite sites to visit, the ones with a regular supply of good deals?

I grew up a few miles from Cove Cutlery, so I like to check out the Deal of the Day -- but in general their prices are a bit high. I'll generally check out KnifeCenter, New Graham and KnivesUSA if I'm browsing. Or run down the list on the KnifeForums sponsors page.

I usually go with froogle.com and type in the model # and browse that way. It gives me a good trend of prices for a certain model. I've had pretty good luck with it so far for other non-knife purchases, too. As always, your results may vary!

-Bestknives.com

-The Exchange forum

-Ebay.com

-Other knife dealer sites, with the best being NordicKnives.com, and another being Blackstocksinc.com

Definitely the exchange forums, even if I'm not buying, to see how prices are running.

I'm pretty much out of the production market, although I'll still pick up a real bargain to use it as trading material. Therefore I pretty much stick to the Exchange Forum for productions. For customs I'll deal with Bladeart, True North knives, TAD and Classic Guns & Knives.

I get my best deals right here at the "Exchange Forums", and also at KnifeForums.

I go here, to the Exchange Forums. Almost hourly, there is somebody just like me, selling or trading stuff they either no longer want, or are tired of looking at, in order to get new stuff. You can find some good deals here, and you get to deal with friends usually.

If I told you - they wouldn't be deals anymore, would they?:D

Actually, if you are patient and have the time and resources to check the different knife forum "sale" exchanges regularly, you will be very hard pressed to get a better deal anywhere.

The best deals I've ever gotten were on the exchange forums here and at that knifeforums place. Some of the dealers mentioned elsewhere advertize in the exchange forums and often offer the sweetest retail prices anywhere.

I've gotten excellent deals on eBay, Botach, and Cheaperthandirt. Gonna check out the exchange forum after these recommendations.

I'd say about one in fifteen tries I've been lucky on ebay. Most times some weasel (you know who you are) will outbid me with 2 seconds left so I don't even have time to counter. But every once in a while I get onto a sweet deal!

Believe it or not, the BEST deals I have gotten on knives, custom or factory, are from Bladerunner Knives in my own town of Tucson. After my recent move they are less than a mile away.( NO, I did not choose the location, the wife did). Richard , the proprietor is well versed and I think he has my number. Several times I mentioned a makers knife i saw online and "poof", he has one from his personal stash that just happens to be for sale. If i told you guys the prices I paid for two customs I bought you'd call me a thief. His factory prices are so close to online, the savings on the shipping charge puts him under the total cost. I really don't know how he pays the rent. But with that "KnifeMonkey" on my back I am glad he is here in town.

Thanks for all the great info! I bookmarked a bunch of sites and started visiting the Exchange for the first time. I appreciate the recommendations.

The way to increase the number of times you get lucky on ebay is to just enter your bid as the max you will pay for an item. If the item gets bid up and you still win, then thats all you pay. But if the item is not bid up, you only pay the amount shown, not the amount of your max bid. It will increase your ods because most snipers probably dont set their bids much higher than the shown bid amount, and then bid with only seconds to go.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Spoon River Cutlery. Their pricing on Benchmade is quite competitive.

They are very competative-and good customer service.

I was looking at onestop knife shop a while ago-do members get a discount? if so how much? The prices were not competative for online sales anyway(is it a brick and mortar or just online?) was just wondering-I was looking at upgrading to gold membership to supprt the forum and browsed through some products-was a little surprized:eek:
i guess im spoiled from buying on the forum:D

Anywhere but 888knivesrus, they are a total rip-off, despite their low advertised prices.

Sincerely, MW
