What's the secret? I just spent a good 40 minutes looking through the gallery. There are a ton of Busse knives on there that aren't on the website. Are these all customs? Re-worked versions? Older production versions?

I've been a knife enthusiast for a long time, and I have yet to own a Busse (no "booing" please). I think it's about time.

Where do I find some good varients, or "different" Busses? The only thing I like off the regular website is the Satin Jack. Suggestions please.

Alot of them are older blades, and there are quite a few customs in there as well. You can call the custom shop (marc/contender) and have something made for you (like a custom Satin Jack) or look on the sale forums (edited to take out secrets ) for older Busse's that come up time to time.....

patience and persistance helps as well.

Hope this helps.....

Michael,
I'm not sure which ones in the Gallery you are looking at but many of them are Variants, some Customs and some GFD's(Grinder Front/Fun Designs - Jerry just goes to work in front of the grinder and that is what comes out)

You can either contact Marc, the custom shop director at marc@bussecombat.com to place an order, or keep your eyes on the forums as they do sometimes come up for sale. Once in a while Jerry will post one that he has made in a spare moment and first email gets it. However you have to wrestle it away from the rest of the Hog's and they are quick. I can't hardly get a morsel anymore :(

Some pieces in the Gallery are also older models. If you give a gallery page number and location I'm sure we can give you a little more info.

Michael,

Don't let Eric B.S. you. If it is a variant, chances are Eric has it locked away! If you get a variant, don't let him know it and for goodness sake, don't show it to him. He'll stop at nothing to get it from you! Welcome and jump into the discussions any time!

John

I noticed the Busses in the "for sale" forums don't last very long. It won't be long before I get my hands on one. Gotta get a new Coote grinder and some new shoes for the Tahoe.

Hopefully, I get a loaner from Busse for a photoshoot featuring one of Eric's (On-Scene) sheaths for an article. So far, I've kept myself from even touching a Busse for fear of emptying my bank account, but since its sort of Eric's specialty, there is no way around it. I have feeling that once I handle it and send it back, I'll probably be purchasing one.

If any of you have any Mojos or Kensais to give away, just send them my way. ;)

Ah Heck, it's not really that bad:D

It's nothing a second job can't cure;) :p

There's your problem...;) Don't send it back!!!:D :p

Michael, my advice to you is to sell all those other knives you've accumulated and free up some funds before the INFIction takes hold.

Welcome to the circus.
