Where do you hear about limited editions first?

I am just curious if there is a specific area of this forum or any other that is dedicated to providing breaking news on preorder limited editions or information about soon to be released knives. It seems that by the time I hear about them, they are for sale on ebay for a hefty premium.
 
I'm not sure about other companies, but now you can sign up on the ZT website to be notified of any limited edition releases.
 
Subscribe to the manufacturer subs that you are interested in( ie. Spyderco, Benchmade, ZT, etc.) and then set up notifications either through tapatalk or e-mail if using a web browser. I usually find out about them months before they are set to be released that way. Also subscribe to those threads that are discussing the LE's for more info.
 
I think some ppl just sit on the sites and hit refresh all day long. I know I do that here at times so I dont miss out on some deal on a knife I want :)

Isn't that normal behavior? The rest of the Internet is kinda boring . . . as is sitting at work doing work.

On dealers sites and on this forum.Here are two that are available now.
Spyderco Native 5 S110V
ZT 0770CF M390
Both are nice knives......
 
Right here in general. Pretty much anything significant is bound to drift across here, though sometimes Spyderco sprints slip by without me noticing them (check their forums for that). Mostly though, the really exclusive and interesting LEs get announced at Blade show in June, or SHOT show in January. There's always a lot of coverage of those events on youtube, and a great deal of discussion about them here in general.

Thanks for that info. Went online to look for that Spyderco and found only one place selling it, BladeHQ. Picked it up for $209 shipped. Went back 5 min later to buy another and showed Out of Stock! What gives lol
