Where do you keep the rest of your spare knives?

I normally have one knife in my office drawer, one in my backpack, one each in several drawers scattered all over the house and one somewhere in my body.

This is to ensure that in case I forget to clip one in my pocket, I can still reach out and get hold of another somewhere nearby.

No point having the knives and not putting them within reach, anytime, anywhere. Right?

I keep a few in the office desk at home; two on me [ not in me;) ]; the rest are tucked away oiled, [ unsheathed, for straight blades ] in a tupperware type container thats 5" high by 2'x3' under the bed in the second bedroom. It contains dessicant as well.

Let's see,
I have a large fixed blade in each of my 'trouble bags' in my car and my wife's, a couple folders in the glove box of my car, my EDC (right now my cf pe delica) in my pocket, some weekend knives (endura, native, rainbow leek) in my dresser accessories box. All my other knives (a small sebenza, william henry kestrel, R/W tactical folder, a couple millies and a custom hunter by Ray Cover in a lock box. I rotate all thses into my EDC lineup.

I usually only carry one knife on me at all times, I guess I feel like more than one really isn't necessary. The rest (3 others) I keep in a fireproof lockbox next to my bed.

I keep most of my knives in my Gerstner Tool Chest so that I can easily find the one I want to carry on a given day, I'd say there are 50+ knives along with sheaths in it.

I have a couple of other knives floating around but they are ones with designated duties.

I have a SAK at my desk at work for trimming nails etc, along with an old boy scout knife.

In my car is a custom Meerdink neck knife with a custom Kydex rig I made to keep it in place, a Medium Fixed Blade in my bag in the back and a Swisstool with accessory tool kit in the center console.

Do you hide that setup with something when you leave the vehicle unattended?

No, why should I?

I have a security system, lightly tinted windows and it's about 8" from the floor behind a spit cup.

If you're thinking it should be hidden from cops, it's nothing illegal and if you're thinking it should be hidden from crooks than I'm not worried about it.

I was thinking more on the lines of tempting someone to break in to grab the blade.

But if you are easy with displaying it, no problem by me.

I would never leave something as this in plain view. Alarmed or not, they are in and it's gone in a heartbeat.

I keep at least one on me, and a few on the dresser for change outs. The others that aren't carried as often are in two large roll-ups and two small roll-ups. The fixed blades are either in the same drawer with the roll-ups or in a large tote bag next to my bed.

I always carry at least 2 knives and two multi-tools...The rest are scattered all over my house (much to my wifes' dismay).:D.

A better question is, where don't I keep them?

There are knives on my bedside table, knives in the closet, knives in my sock drawer, knives in the family room, knives in the kitchen, knives in the garage, knives in my car (both glovebox and center console), a multi-tool in my lunchbox; there's even an "emergency" knife in the bottom drawer of my desk at work.

In my truck hidden but quickly accessible couple of folders, a fixed blade behind the seat in a pocket.
In my house few by my chair to play with, and also on a table by the bed handy for use.
Otherwise, and especially all the collectors, and customs are in a large safe(6'x3'x2')on shelves for safety, and fire.

LOL... if you only knew what you'd have to go through to get to that Gerstner, I'd be willing to send someone my address just to see them try :) :p

I'm a custom picture framer so I have access to all kinds of mouldings, so I made myself a nice display case. The case is about 16X20 inches with a hinged locking door with glass. The box is 3" deep and I used reg board for the backing. I also built a little shelf into it to keep little things and folders.

Forgot to mention you have to get past my pit bull, and my alarm system:)
The ones in my safe are my valuable ones, and the others are all replaceable, and really not worth taking.

Everywhere, also to my wifes dismay, there's always a knife within feet of wherever I am, car, bathroom, bedroom, computer desk.

Here's a pic of a basket at the computer desk, there are literally 100s of knives scattered throught the house.

What a coincidence. I have something like that, too, around the house with knives in it!:)

I carry as many as six. The rest lay in the top of a military issue foot locker inlaid with felt.

filing cabinet by the desk, on the desk, headboard, backpack, jackets, by the microwave, on a bookshelf, in my glovebox, in my firstaid/bob in the backseat, in the basket with the remotes... and the 5-6 on me at all times.
