Where do you keep your survival kit?

I try to keep my favourite kit (5" x 3" tobacco tin) in the front pocket of a small day pack that also has a 1 litre water bladder. I like to keep my knives in there as well whenever going bush but they are tuned to suit. I try to take that day pack everywhere. Where do you keep your kit?

I have my BK-7 set up as a survival kit. Fire, water, navigation, signals, shelter, food gathering, light, minor meds. If I'm going to be in serious bush I always have it on my belt.

When I travel in Rural Brazil, like I will be for the rest of the week I take a daypack with items that will help if I have to hike away from my stranded car to get a mechanic.
I want to be able to treat my water supply while away from home. Rural Brazil is also poorly lit and the power goes off often. I keep this stuff in the trunk of the car with one of my older 16 inch machetes. Mac

I keep a BOB, GHB 72 Hr kit or whatever you want to call it behind the seat of truck. My PSK (mini-kit) lives in the handlebar bag on my bicycle along with a SWAK, a SAK & a couple contractor trash bags. I figure that if I'm home my truck and my bike are too, if I'm more than 5 miles from home I'm either on my bike or in my truck.

One in each vehicle, one in my lunch bag for work, 2 large ones for family @ home to take on trips, one personal BOB for me when I go outdoors and one for training the family outside. Blade, fire, compass, water, tarp, light, first aid being the basics of each.

I keep my edc/sak in a maxpedition hip pouch, the H3, and on my belt all the time. I also have one in my hunting/fishing pack, in my truck, and one in my bob. Not all the same kits but very similar.

My first line of defense is my EDC, which I carry on my belt, in my pants pockets, my shirt pockets and when I put on a coat, I'm adding additional gear to my survival kit. Whether I climb in the truck, or am just taking a walk in the hills, I've added a bag containing gear that has been chosen to work hand in hand with the gear I already have with me and duplicates some of the more critical items.

Daypack that lives in my truck. If I go into the woods, it goes with me.

Other contents: SAK (Camper), Buck 110, basic first aid kit, rain gear, fleece pullover, hat, water bottle. If I think I'm going anywhere way off road, then a larger chopping blade goes with me--some sort of Becker or Busse.

Day to day = folder in the pocket, survival kit + Camp tramp+lethermanpst2 in my day pack.

Out bush= In a pouch on my belt along with the tramp OR in my webbing/vest.

I also have some kit stashed in the car..

I'm learning to make it smaller and keep it on me, like on a belt ... back to essentials maybe?
