Anyone have a lead on an online dealer who understands slipjoints, specifically Case knives? I want to phone in an order and stress that I really want a cherry-picked knife with fit and finish on the high end. (I live in Europe, so I really really don't want to get into a situation where I need to return a new knife to the seller or manufacturer.) Have been thinking about using some Xmas money to buy a Case CV stockman. Or MAYBE a Boker carbon steel whittler.

I'll second cumberland Knife Works as well as Knife Works and New Graham. Also check out www.bluegrassmountainknives.com. I've ordered a few there. My wife just got me a 1970 Case Redbone 10 dot Stockman for Charlie Mattox at mattoxknife.com.

I'd second Sooner State Knives. They have a wide selection, great prices, and fast delivery times.

I'm fortunate to have over half a dozen Case dealers and three shops that specialize in older knife collecting within a sixty mile drive from my home. Over the internet, I've only ordered from Smokey Mountain Knife Works. Cumberland looks like it has tons of goodies on hand though.

Bill Horn at Cumberland knife works!!!! He will check and describe the knife to you over the phone. Great guy.
