I was in a hardware store today getting some plumbing supplies to fix a sink here at home for the little lady:D While there I noticed some customers with knives. One fellow was carrying a Buck 110 or clone of it in a leather belt sheath. Another customer had what looked to be a Gerber clipped inside his pocket. The last customer I saw carrying a knife had a Joy/Fury clipped on his belt exposing the entire knife. I carry mine clipped inside my pocket with only the clip showing and whatever part of the knife above the clip. I also carry sometimes in a belt sheath. I currently carry a large Classic Sebbie in a horizontal belt sheath.

So spill the beans, how do you carry yours and if applicable why this way?

Girl asks "Are you happy to see me or are you just wearing your SRK" ;)
just j/king
By law knives needed to be in plain view, so it's clipped to the pocket.

I carry a Meyerco clipped to my right front pocket and a leatherman wave on my belt and in just the last couple days a small two blade Victorinox Swiss for whittling in the bottom of my right front pocket.

My "Utility/Tactical" is clipped in the back edge of my RF pocket because often when I need a knife, I don't EVEN want to (or Can't) dig in my LF for my UH897.

Right now that RF knife is a Spydie SS Plain Delica, often it is a Kershaw Vapor or V II, hope to get and try a Gerber Harsey AR Plain. (And/or a CRKT Falcon)

The Falcon by CRK&T is a super knife. I've had the customs and this is a great copy. You will not be dissapointed!

Usually a Sebenza (the small every day since I got it, before that a large or 710hs) clipped to right pocket. A SAK, lately a Cybertool 29, but often a Pioneer, in the right pocket and a LM pulse in my left front pocket. Thats it.

Usually just clipped to my right front pocket. Occasionally carry SOB but it depends on the knife.

Clipped to the inside of my pocket is just most comfortable for me. I've tried carrying with sheaths on my belt but that just feels too awkward. Maybe I just don't have the right sheath. I'd love to carry my Tomcat this way but the sheath just does not feel right.

Large LEFTY Sebenza in a CRK case on my left side towards the back. Darrel Ralph custom 4" Mad Maxx dagger blade in my right front pocket. Tried this in my pants area and the handle digs in my stomach a little too much.

Clip knives, clipped to inside pockets, in winter on inside jacke pocket.

Neck Knives,(Bud Nealy Aikuchi, CRKT Stiff Kiss) chained to belt and tucked in to back pocket.

Executive Edge, clipped to shirt pocket.

Leatherman Wave in belt sheath.

Buck XLT,(older one that breaks down and has a clip) in the waist band.

Miniature folder on necklace inside shirt.

Now next time ya meet me you'll know what an' where I'm packin'.:D

940 BM,922 BM,Speedtech Synergy,CUDA Damascus, and Kershaw Ricochet in my Gary Graley sheaths on my belt.:) Not all at the same time.
Cases in pockets.

Depends on the knife and what clothing I'm wearing.

Generally. . .

Folders are carried / clipped in the right front pocket. If I'm wearing shorts or pants that have cargo pockets. . .I clip a folder in the right cargo pocket.

Neck knives are carried in their typical manner. :p

Fixed blades are carried in numerous methods. For example: IWB, on a riggers belt (slung low, just behind my drop leg holster and tied off just above the knee), in a shoulder harness, secured to the left strap of a "H" or "ALICE" suspender system or lower back. . .horizontal carry.

I recently came up with my ultimate carry.

My old and preferred method was a small custom wharncliffe fixed blade in Concealex with mini teklok. I wore it just to the left of my buckle on my belt. A year or two ago, I bouhgt a Leatherman pulse and it was put horizontal where the old wharncliffe was. I then had to start carrying folders again. I was messing around a few days ago, and found I was able to put the nylon Pulse sheath on my belt horizontal and the wharncliffe sheath will actually fit in between the belt and the sheath through the belt loops on the sheath. It is now held secure right under the pulse. I can easily draw either tool and both are very secure. I am extremely happy and have freed up my valuable pocket space for a Surefire E2e. Woo hoo! Woo hoo! I love it when life just gets good for no reason.

Most of the time clipper to my right front pocket.

If I am working in my back right pocket, to help prevent dust from getting into the knife. For somereason whenever I carry a knife clipped right front while working it always comes back filled with dust and grit, and needs to be fully cleaned. Too much work to be done every day.

I always carry my BM Stryker clipped in my
right front pocket.

In the wintertime sometimes I carry a Randall in a Kenny Rowe Shoulder Rig just
to be cool.

Here is what I like, not all at the same time of course. Usually two or at most three items:

Small/medium SAKs, LM Juice, LM Micra, etc. in front pocket.

Thick SAKs and LM Wave vertical in rear pocket against outer seam, next to bandanna. I can comfortably carry anything this way and not even know that it is there, but for some reason I don't usually hear of other people doing this. My butt is skinny, maybe that helps.

Folder clipped to right or left front pocket, depending on what else I am carrying.

Folder clipped to waistband of sweats, trunks, or shorts when not wearing a belt.

I don't care for sheaths. Even small fixed blade knives I tend to stick the whole knife, sheath and all, into my pocket.

My Spyderco Chinook is clipped inside one of my front pockets. The Spyderco Native is clipped inside the other front pocket. The Leatherman Micra is inside my "watch pocket", and my monster Cold Steel Vaquero Grande will sometimes "ride shotgun" in a back pocket.
