Where does the clip go

I've just gotten my first clip EDC knife (pocket carried a sak for years) and I was wondering which side most right handers put the clip on. I've got a SOG mini-x-ray vision and it is tip up carry.

Now I wear the knife on my right pocket do I want the blade to face my front or my rear.

I'm undecided as to which is better to draw the knife out. With the blade facing my rear I pull the knife out with my thumb in the pocket and I have to shift the knife in my hand for my thumb to reach the release lock.

If I wear it blade front I have to stick all my fingers in my pocket and twist my arm a little more but at least my fingers can reach the lock and pull the knife out. I wear loose pants so this is doable but still strange.

What's the general consensus here?

I carry my Delica in my right pocket, tip up with the blade toward the rear. It came that way so that's how I wear it. The general consensus wear it on the strong side if it's their primary folder. YMMV...

I prefer tip up in my right hand pocket, with the blade next to the seam of my jeans. That way it's harder for the blade to accidently open in my pocket.
