when it's closed?
I tend to be slightly picky about that, not so much as it has to be perfectly centered, but eye pleasing for sure. None of my CRK's have ever been obviously "off". Have you ever had one with an off centered blade, what was the cause, and do you have a picture?
NOTE My shot was not centered:grumpy:

Don't have any pics as I sold all my benchmades [emoji6]. I've never had a CRK be much off center except one I received with a pinched washer.

I have an older sebenza (99) that is slightly off centered due to an uneven grind. Off centered blades are rare with CRK due to their machining tolerances.

This. Especially on a 21 with the pivot bushing. I had one that looked to be of center but it wasn't. It was the grind on the tip that was off from one side to the other that made it only look like it was off center.

I received one that was second hand and slightly off center. I took it apart and cleaned it well, then did the appropriate flick after putting it back together and it was dead centered.

All of the others have been 100% perfect.

I just wondered if someone had a horror story. Anyway I certainly can forgive the guys for a grind that is a bit off.
Don't you love it! What a knife!

Of all of the brands I've bought several from CRK is the only brand I can say that about

FWIW, the uneven edge at the tip on the 21 I had was done by someone other than CRK.

Neither of my Insingos (large and small) are what i'd call perfectly centered. They each slightly favour one side. The blades are parallel to the slabs, but the grinds at the tip are not perfect, so that it is at least noticeable. I have read that Insingos are the most likely to show this, so I've never let it bother me.

The only time my small 21 has ever been off centered is when I have put it back together in a hurry. I take it apart, start over a little slower and it always comes back perfect!

I had a Large CF Insingo that was just slightly off, but a careful take-down/reassembly fixed it (I was the second owner).

All of mine are centered. I used to have a BG42 Classic that had a slightly warped blade. It's gone now.

Hi, I just got a Sebenza (large 21) and i found it to be slightly (about half the thickness of a credit card) favouring the locking Side. After taking it apart and taking a closer look, it is due to an uneven grind.

I have decided to carry it for a while and to send it in in a view month for getting a double thumb lug.

Do you think they will replace the blade without charge if i mention it being off center then?

Just got this one.

Even my EDC CRK's have all been centered, or very close. The only high end knife I have that's noticeably off center is a Hinderer that I loosened the pivot on so that's is way out of factory spec. That make it my fault it's off center.

My 2008 Classic is slightly off-centered. The washers are all right, so it is probably the grind.

Yep, been there, done that. I think there were always other even more obvious signs that I'd fouled up, though. :o
