Where have all the Mad Dogs gone?

As I look through my accumulation of knives...yes I accumulate I don't collect, I have to know too much to collect...but anyway there I was looking at some of my accumulated gems, Parrish, Lile, Randall, and there is my Mad Dog ATAK. I have had it for 7 or 8 years. And with all the hype that came along with it back then I have to ask where are they now? I found a link to a MD site that is rather dated and a lot of "call for pricing" with dealers. Is the maker still around and does he produce? Judging by the lack of knives on the market I am guessing they have lost favor or maybe respect. Where have all the Mad Dogs gone?

Welcome to the forums. mad dog knives have become rare and have generally appreciated in value quite abit, from what I understand. Not sure on price depends on what model you have

They look really well made and very practical. I've never heard anything bad about the knives themselves. Think it's more of a political thing.

my SEAL ATAK2 is my favorite fixed blade, and has appreciated quite a bit in the 2 yrs i have had it, nothing wrong with them at all imho, some folks dont like mad dog (and mad dog dont like some folks lol) and some dont care for him as a person, but no one says the knives arent top notch albeit expensive knives.

are they better than others, cheaper ones, like busse? probably not.

This is the first time I've seen Busse suggested as a lower-priced alternative to another production knife.

EVERYONE RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!! Grab a decent chopper made of INFI along the way straight from Wauseon, OH or their company store in Mashed Cat, ID, but RUN FOR YOUR VERY LIVES!!!
