What a sleeper! What an under-rated knife! Yowza!!
Been wanting to check out S30V for some time now and the ol' budget is as restrictive as ever. When I spotted a Native in this new miracle metal my reaction was "Well, so what if it doesn't have the 'hump', it will be a cost effective way to test this new blade material." So the deal was made and now, just a day later, I seem to have a severe case of Native fever. Is there a cure?
More Natives! Yeah, that's the ticket. Carbon fiber. G-10. Stainless. I want more!
Sal hit a home run with the comfort factor on this handle. The blade shape is great too. This small knife acts like a bigger one when in actual use. Interestingly, the FRN handle doesn't seem to reek the word "cheap" like some others I've handled. Quite the contrary. You should hear the SNAP when this baby locks up. Its like a bank vault door that rides on aerospace spec bearings. No joke. This folder is quite possibly the most well thought out piece of cutting technology I've ever handled. And it costs less than sixty bucks retail!!!!!!!
As someone who has never even considered owning a Native, I'll never be without one again. Get some!
