What a sleeper! What an under-rated knife! Yowza!!

Been wanting to check out S30V for some time now and the ol' budget is as restrictive as ever. When I spotted a Native in this new miracle metal my reaction was "Well, so what if it doesn't have the 'hump', it will be a cost effective way to test this new blade material." So the deal was made and now, just a day later, I seem to have a severe case of Native fever. Is there a cure?

More Natives! Yeah, that's the ticket. Carbon fiber. G-10. Stainless. I want more!

Sal hit a home run with the comfort factor on this handle. The blade shape is great too. This small knife acts like a bigger one when in actual use. Interestingly, the FRN handle doesn't seem to reek the word "cheap" like some others I've handled. Quite the contrary. You should hear the SNAP when this baby locks up. Its like a bank vault door that rides on aerospace spec bearings. No joke. This folder is quite possibly the most well thought out piece of cutting technology I've ever handled. And it costs less than sixty bucks retail!!!!!!!

As someone who has never even considered owning a Native, I'll never be without one again. Get some!

Yep, the Native is my favorite! If you can get ahold of a G-10 model you'll really see what a great knife it is (check out the for sale forum here for a blue BladeForums Native - they are made with blue G-10 handles) A carbon fiber Native - still something we can only dream about :)

Did you ask for 5 handle choices or only 4? With all of the excitement, I kind of lost count myself.

Well being that it's the S30V Spyderco Native, the most powerful folding knife in its class, you've got to ask yourself one question:

Do I feel like having one in micarta?

Well, do you? :p

What a swell knife, though! With a little practice, it's a one-handed closer (rare and/or dangerous with a lockback, but less dangerous with the Native). The integrated choil and the deeply cut thumb ramp are awesome.

I don't even want anything other than the FRN handles, but I do want more when the price comes down so I can have two in each front pocket. Just in case ;)

Hilarious! But seriously, a run of micarta (in maybe OD green) would be soooooo cool. This is the perfect EDC folder. No kidding. And a more "exotic" handle material would make it a real hum dinger.

I was unaware of a G10 scaled version. If it is available in a Spyderedge, count me in. I'll be patrolling the sale forums. Thanks for the tip!

Awesome knife. If you don't own a Native, what are you thinking?:D

I was pretty much into Natives starting with my old GIN-1 model, but this newest S30V Native really is something. It has that little extra something that makes it irresistible.

Can't wait to see what the new 3D Native will be like. My poor wallet... :)

I like my new Native alot! For all the reasons already stated it's a great little knife. It's place in my EDC rotations is assured.

Hehe, I got one in my pocket right now. It is SE, cuts cardboard like crazy. I want a PE one for EDC. I am waiting for the S30V CF model or the 3D Native.

It has got to be the best knife on the market for the price.
I got 4 and counting.
