I am curios, is there any state or city in America or Canada where a Victorinox/Wenger Swiss Champ would be considered illegal to carry? How about the little classic sd? I figure they are about as friendly and tool like as you can get. Not much different that a leatherman tool. But I would like to know. I don't mean in Airports and courthouses, I mean in general.

SAK are legal all over Canada, there is no restriction against them. Not positive about the states but Im pretty sure it is the same there.

I am no expert at all in US knife laws but I know that NYC has quite a few restrictions. Given the strong springs of the SAK's, they will not fall in the category of GRAVITY knives no matter what... but if you had a lanyard of some short haning from your pocket, they may say something about brandishing (it has happened before with pocket clips).

Both knives mentioned should be legal anywhere that permits a blade up to about 2.7 inches. Provided the carrier is not violating any other laws. And there are too many local laws to list here. Check out Knife Rights for some more help in learning of more local laws and restrictions.
