Where is Diskin folder?

Hi all. Few month ago i saw Kershaw Diskin folder on KAI website. In description there was mentioned some new assisted opening system. But knife dissapeared...

Mods, will this knife ever come out?
 
I've had my hands on a few 1085's (the fixed blade version) and my friends love them. Great shape.
I still have one of his Volcan Coronados in my stash. I wish it were bigger because I really like it.

A little disappointed it didn't make it into production but there is plenty more for me to look at. :thumbup:
 
Thomas posted somewhere that he wasn't happy with the prototype. I believe he said it didn't feel reliable or there was some issue with the design. He wasn't very specific.

sad. i liked it's slim handle and hoped to see something new in AO knives... did T posted any pics of folder?

I've got the fixed blade coming from Dave & just received a Diskin Fire. I really would have liked to see that Kershaw folder :(
 
Too bad they didn't decide to do a larger version of it as the Volcan Coronado is such a small knife.

The really efficient handle ratio makes it a bit difficult to hold onto securely for me.
