Where is the balance point on Chinook III?

Hi all - chances of finding a Chinook II in New Zealand to handle are rediculously low, not to mention the outrageous retail price if there was one...

So can anyone tell me about the feel and where the balance point is? I have the fear that with all the steel in the frame and lockbar that it must be heavy in the hand (which I don't like).

My ideal is when the balance is on the index finger when held in a saber grip... so how close is the Chinook III (or Chinook II)

Hello Daniel,

I have the new Chinook in the flat grind and I would say the balance is between the index and middle finger. I think it balances very nicely.

Thanks Ogie.... hmm sounds a little too far back for my liking. I suppose the good news is that if I buy one I can always resell it quickly
