Have a micarta scaled 112 but need to find on this forum the files that describe the 112 model years and variations. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It use to be up at the end of the 110 aging sticky but looks like it is gone. Here is copy of what I use, may have had some slight updates but works for me so far.....300

Buck Ranger, Model 112 Timeline 1972 to 1986

First Version, (1 variation) Blade material 440C
Variation 1, (May 1972) Left hand upside down BUCK, U.S.A. stamp, read with the blade pointed down, brass spring holder, black micarta inlays, two small, (less than 1/16”) brass inlay rivets and stainless rocker rivet.

Second Version, (2 variations) Blade material 440C
Variation 1, (1972) Left hand upside down stamp, stainless spring holder, black micarta inlays, two small, (less than 1/16”) brass inlay rivets and stainless rocker rivet.
Variation 2, (1972) Same as variation above except stamped BUCK, 112, U.S.A. Stamp is now right side up, read with the tip pointed up.

Third Version, (1 variation) Blade material 440C
Variation 1, (1972 or73) Same as the second version except that the inlays are of Segua wood.

Fourth Version, (1 variation) Blade material 440C
Variation 1, (1973?) Same as the third version except that the inlays are of Macasar Ebony wood.

Fifth Version, (4 variations) Blade material 440C
Variation 1, (1974) Left hand stamped BUCK, *112*, U.S.A., macasar ebony inlays, two brass inlay rivets, stainless spring holder, stainless rocker rivet.
Variation 2, Same as variation 1 except has four brass inlay rivets.
Variation 3, Same as variation 1 except has three brass inlay rivets.
Variation 4, Same as variation 1 except has three larger brass inlay rivets approximately 1/8” in diameter.

Sixth Version, (3 variations) Blade material 440C
Variation 1, (1980) Left hand stamped BUCK, *112**, U.S.A., macasar ebony inlays, three brass inlay rivets 1/8” in diameter, stainless spring holder, stainless rocker rivet.
Variation 2, Same as variation 1 except now there is a nail notch in the blade.
Variation 3, Same as variation 2 except handles now have hand radiused edges but no radius in the thumb depression area. Finger grooved model introduced.

Seventh Version, (1 variation) Blade material 425 modified
Variation 1, (1981) Left hand stamped BUCK, **112**, U.S.A., macasar ebony inlays, three brass inlay rivets 1/8” in diameter, stainless spring holder, stainless rocker rivet. Hand radiused handle edges still found although fully radiused handles can now be found.

Important note: The 112 does not always follow the same path as the 110 as it pertains to the blade dot markings. For instance, the first time we see radiused edges on the 110 handle is on a 4 dot version. The first time we see it on the 112 is on a 3 dot version.

Thanks 300 for taking the time to post the 112 info.. I thought it was still up on the opening page . ? DM

Yeah thanks 300:thumbup: Maybe that could be attatched to the 110 sticky or be made a sticky of its own.

OK,

I will email Joe H. to do this as it is his sticky. That way a half dozen of us won't hit Joe with the same request.... I will handle it but I swear I am only a closet 112 person.
