I personally love the JYD II as a work knife. it is thick, the steel is easy to sharpen for the normal version and holds a good edge, has lots of belly, flips very fast, and is really nice to hold, but the clip, no offense, is absolutely butt ugly. it is huge, draws attention, and don't EDC mine because of it. the cpm-d2 is nice, but the edge, imo, is pretty obtuse, making it worse for EDC. overall, i just consider it overkill for EDC. this coming from the guy who carrys the 0200 every day. add equal parts salt and advice, stir, take.
The problem with the lowrider is that i am kind of trying to pay for belts, steel, and just bought a grinder. i am kind of low on money. besides, i need a new buffing wheel....
I don't think my original post was clear. I adore my JYD for work, but it is not that great for edc. a knife that is good for EDC and work is optimum, EDC is next, and finally a work knife.
Many thanks Steve! Green and Blue lowriders, drill+tapped Spec Bump. (Now I can carry it! :thumbup
