Okay cats and dogs...

i want to see YOUR pictures of YOUR exotics Beckers...

the non-mainstream stuff...

meaning:

the BK11 SanMai Neckers

the BK77 EXTREEEEEEEEMS

the Becker Khukris, both Reinhardt and BK4s, older the better...

even the BK10 Combat Utility :> though it's less exotic, than out of production...

even patrol machetes :>

yes, speaking of patrol, the backpack too ;) i want it all.

the BK8 egress tool is a contender. got one? show it!

the "BK12"? yes! let's have pictures (Doug!), new paint! yes! better yet, hopefully soon, in hand pictures!

and if you don't have any of these? why not? consider it! get some!

keep on Beckerin'

I don't like faux sanmai or damascus patterns on blades, the aesthetics bug me. I definitely dig the philosophy, utility and strength of those steels but if a blade is using the patterns because the manufacturer is trying to make it look cool or attempting to pass it off as actual sanmai or damascus... that just pisses me off.

it's not faux though. it's actual layered SanMai, made in japan: '''Steel Core of Hitachi White Steel sandwiched between 2 layers of 410 stainless steel'''

it's also hand finished and stropped.

real deal.

personally, i need to buy another one, and get some bamboo handles made for it, and a ray-skin sheath "pocket sheath" :> swank.

I just want to get a san mai bk11. I just can't bring myself to it though. I know that they're gonna be hard to get pretty soon. Maybe I should just because.

This should be a cool thread.

Yeah, I dig bamboo handles. Amazing that the material has been used forever, but with the ever growing requirement for renewable materials, it's nice to see the applications for use in every field.

Darn you Bladite!!! you made my re-evaluate my Becker family after making me drool with the pics in your post. I decided that I want 1 unique rare becker to be a safe queen instead of a hardcore user so I just placed an order for a Bk-77! I'll defintely put some pics up when I get it here.....cant wait:D

update: got it today!

I'd love to see a Reinhardt with custom scales. I'd also love to see them make a comeback.

I think I bought these in the late '80's. I've never used them, just been in my collection.

1. BK-2, with original leather sheath, and custom kydex sheath I had made for it. 4140 Steel.

2. Becker Div-tool, 440A Stainless. No blade coating. 6" blade, with later model micarta grips, and stainless bolts, I installed. Partially serrated. Original sheath. Reverse side marked "Made in USA, and Effingham, IL."

Do these count?

Eskabar with homemade micarta

Heavily modded BK9
beckermods002-1.jpg

it's a fairly exotic mod :) we can kep that one... we should start a picture heavy thread for mods though, the weirder i mean more beautiful the better :) (hint hint), then it will get the mod slot in the master list... but *I* am not going to start it. y'all modder have to want it.

generally leaning towards the less talked about Becker lineup... typically factory, and generally the stuff not produced now, or in previous recent generations.

so, bring it! i know some of y'all have san-mai, and Reinhardts, and a couple BK-77s, and other exotics ;> this include you Critter man :) let's see those prototypes and freaks, and ... this especially includes YOU Ethan. let's not leave out the KaBar clan. Toooooj. Bobbo! i know you got some mean things hiding around. here's your chance to spill.

A few oddities...

What kind of bk is the one that's cord wrapped?

The BKneverexisted. Or, Necker prototype that didn't make it. Not extremely rare, but rare enough, I suppose. That Becker Vaccuum, know as Bladite, has 4 of everything, and 6 of others, the only guy that owns at least one of every BKT ever made and a few that weren't.

That's why he's THE moderator here. I just screw around alot.

My Camera is dookie so I apologize for the poor quality of pictures. Maybe if I spent less money on knives and more money on a good camera it would probably even out........NAHHHHHH! :D

But not for looong :)

The last picture does not do it justice. This thing is beautiful. Contemplating getting another one for use. :)

Last but not least my pride and joy the BK10s. One used and the other one NIB which will be my safe queen for the moment until Kabar releases their version of the BK10 and I will be like Bladite and own 6 of them. :P
