Where should I go next?

OK, I love my spydies. I've got a native, a catcherman, a Wayne Goddard, and an Endura.

I'm left handed, and love the fact that I can reverse the above, (except the catcherman). I'm also a big dude, 300lb, 6'7".

Where should I go next in my Spyderco collection? It would be easier if some of the more expensive (non-zytel) models were leftie friendly, but I can live with righty knives if the value is worth it.

Peace, all.

Before you criticise a man, walk a mile in his shoes. Then he'll be a mile away, and barefoot!

Al,

Chinook. Despite a righty clip (Spyderco should drill holes on both sides in future runs), the knife is really ambi with the lockback -- the strongest one out there. Big knife for a big guy.

I'll be the first to tell you that even though it's a right hander, you should seriously look into the military. It's got one of the largest handle lengths and it's incredibly light weight.I'm 6'5 260 and it fits like they made it just for me.Personally I think they did

Al, you should take a hard look at the Chinook. Its really designed for right handed use, but I find no problem using it at all left handed. Great knife, really strong, and great blade design. Really strong lock that will not disengage accidently either. I love mine. Military is another thats easy easy easy for a lefty to use. The clips on these knives do not interfer with use. The chinook especially I like to clip inside my belt on the lip of my jeans. The belt covers most of the clip and keeps it from catching on things. Blouse your shirt a bit and nobody will ever notice. Its not too heavy to carry in the pocket of blue jeans either. Dress pants are another story. Back to waistband carry for them. -mike

I'll also recommend the Chinook. Can't do much about the clip holes, but the important parts, namely the hole and the lock, are both ambi.

At your size, it'll probably only seem big, rather than HUGE.
