My name is Geoff Mitchell known as Gunner here and as many of you know or do not know I am a ghillie suit maker, which plainly means I make advanced camo systems. What I need to know is where should I set up my web site. Who has the best options and features. I have heard that geocities sucks is this true, I would like to get some opinions. Thanks Geoff.

Talk to Mike. He has several good plans to suit your budget. I am going to use him to host my site when I get it finished,

You can see our hosting options at the following URL. http://www.wowinc.com/hosting.htm

The hosting packages which include banners on BFC have changed. Please add an additional $20 per month to those.

I will be updating that part of the site very soon.

Best of luck with the venture Gunner.
One thing that i see as bad for commercial websites is then pop up windows It instantly gives the unprofessional image to the website. I surf the net quite a lot looking for materials and machinery and am surprised how many cheapskate businesses have then kind of websites. For a very reasonable price they could have a professional looking site.

The problem with pop-up windows is that every time you counteract them, the company brings up a new system. For example, Geocities has pop-up menus on every page, a true annoyance. So, Geocities said if you put one of their banners on each of your pages then you wouldn't have to worry about the pop-ups. That worked for about a year, now they've changed the menus again and they are here to stay.
I think, however, that if you pay for your geocities account that you do not have to put up with banners or pop-ups if you don't want to. I would get a good HTML book, a scanner, and a good computer and do the stuff yourself, as it gives the greatest flexibilty and the lowest cost.
