First off, I'm a newbie to this forum, so if this question has been asked 1000 times over, forgive me for my ignorance
Anywho, I am interested in ATTEMPTING to create a neck knife for myself...nothing fancy, just utilitarian. The problem is that I just have no clue where to even start as to where to find steel (I would prefer 440C), how to heat treat, grind, etc. I am thinking of something along the lines of 1 1/2 in blade, chisel grind, and getting a kydex sheath made for it or trying it myself If you have any lengthy tips, please email me at mattthefish80@hotmail.com
