Where to buy .25" thick cts xhp billets?

i ll see wht i can find the one bigest problem so far with working with Carpenter steel is that they are still tring to fine what siz and steels to be rolling out for the buyers
if you are in a pinch and need the steel sooner then later you will be ok with cpm154 as i have had no problem with the razors i have made with it (its jsut a never ending quest to get the best i can in HT and steel)

Butch, are you using the Carpenter stuff for kitchen knives and razors and if so, how does it compare to AEB-L or the Crucible stuff?

so far sjut kitchen knives and its getting high marks (tho when you grind it it seems like you didnt get your proper hardness) it has always hit the RC that in should have (jsut grinds "soft" comparred to other steels and this is a good thing in my eyes )
never worked abel so i cant tell you but due to the even finer PM of the XHP it is a dream and as i said the kitchen guys love it (still not sure how it works long term vs cpm154 in the ware ) all of the cpm154 i have done is in the 62-63 hardness and the xhp so far im tring at 61 but may bump up to see what it can handle
the xhp hones up much faster adn smoother then the cpm154 and if you look at the spec sheet you can see why but what you cant see is since it resists carbide pull out it seems to have way better edge holding then the specs woudl lead you to think (like said time will tell on the long term)
