Hi everyone.

I am a waxed cotton, wood burning stove and wooden skis kind of guy - looking for a new 3 or 4-season tent. I'd like to get a 1960/70's style A-frame, but they no longer seem to be available? I saw one on the net few years ago, I think the manufacturing company was from the UK, but can't find the site now.

Help and links in would be much appreciated!

I'm curious why you prefer this tent over a more modern one. Does it offer some advantage in your part of the world over a newer more modern tent? Or, is it a nostalgia thing? Personally, I like a lighter tent that breathes so condensation from my breath doesn't freeze to the sides and humidity doesn't get too bad.

Umm, a combination of nostalgia and practicality - and I want a tent that will last for years of 4-season use. Canvas has pretty good moisture management qualities and breathes well.

Here's a good link

good to hear.
I like Panther Primitive's stuff a lot - used to do a lot of historical recreation and knew folks who used their tent every weekend and a couple of weeks each summer, so durability of the sunforger was definitely tested. ground cloth is separate in most of their tents, but that system seemed to work pretty well.
good luck!
