Where to buy "better" steel?

I'd like to make a few more knives. Specifically, maybe a pair of hunting knives (field dressingand skinning work), a pair of boning knives, and a pair of chefs knives (I like making pairs so I can practice on the first one). I made several knives a couple of decades ago and they have served me well, but now I'd like to make some using some of the really high wear steels that are available. My preference would be to use some thin Vanadis 8, K390, or 10V, but my Google searches are not finding anyone who has these in stock in a thin stock (less than 0.100"). If need be, I'd be willing to go to 4V, or CPM M4, but I'm not finding those either. I've been kicking this around for years, so I'm not in a rush. Just trying to get an idea on where to look.

Thanks,
Mark

Thanks! I had purchased from Jantz several years ago, and I think I had looked at some stuff from AKS. My searches pointed to some of the others, but when I followed the links I ended up at pages with tech info/specs and not products/materials for sale. I'll go back and look at them more thoroughly to see what they have. .

"IF" you're located in the USA (profile not filed out with location) then AKS is about your best source as far as prices and selection. You did mention ordering from Jantz in the past. USAKnifemakers is another good place for knife supplies.
