I was wondering where one can go to buy Busse knives. The Busse websites seem quite limited other than the new model on the main page...

I saw a picture of the game warden and thought that this is exactly what i was looking for in an EDC. I haven seen it at any other knife sotres. Am I missing something?
All buy, sell, trade offers are to occur in the exchange. thanks, Mike
Thanks.

Also curious, whats the relation between busse and the Rat knives?

no, you're not missing anything. as the old saying goes "it's not the kill, it's the thrill of the chase." in this case though, that's only half true. owning these knives really is part of the thrill. tracking them down, finding out what you really like and want, and then finding them is certainly a large part of the busse experience. good luck, and enjoy the ride.

IMHO:

Scrap Yark= Toyota: practical user with less cost!
Rats= Scion: bring user to another level!
Busse combat= Lexus: pure "L" feel experience that makes difference!

Basically it goes something like this: You can buy them from the Busse Combat site or the Company Store. Read the sticky's at the top of this forum for links and some details. The Combat site has one knife posted now and usually does have one at a time from what I have seen. There you can choose the blade finishes and handles from what he offers. There will be a time delay on delivery after ordering here while they are being made. They stay up for several weeks and then are replaced with a new model. There is advanced notice before they go away and a sneak peak at what is coming. After they are removed from that site and replaced with the new model, the company store gets some variance of those models (a while later) and sells them. They also get some stuff that was not on the main site. Those are available on hand and ship very quickly. You can choose from what is available but not pick/choose your specific combo of blade/scales. Those are the only 2 places that you are guaranteed the regular price. The exchange is a good place to look for previous models (and sometimes current). Prices vary on the exchange as they are individual owners selling what they have.
The other company you mentioned is a family related businesses from what I have gathered and so is Scrap. They offer different knife designs and they are made from different steel (non INFI as a general rule it seems, although INFI has come from there).
Stay tuned to this forum. The GW's seem to pop up in different configurations from time to time. I doubt that they are finished with that line just yet.
Hope that helps a little.
