Where to buy custom-made folder handles

I'm loving my brand new Emerson - everything except its handle. The texturing on the G-10 really chaffes and dries my hand, and I find myself putting on gloves before using it. But wearing the gloves messes with some of my fine manipulation of the knife.

I'd like to replace the stock handle on it with something that is textured differently. I like the texturing on the G-10 handles of Benchmade's Bob Lum designs (Dejavoo, Onslaught) and if I could find a custom-made handle for my Emerson Super CQC-8, then it would be closer to my ideal knife than anything else I've ever owned.

Where can I go to find a good handle-maker? Are there any knife makers here who would be willing to grind one out for me?

Try a member here named Phillip Dobson. I know he makes custom knife handles out of some beautiful woods for Kershaws. If he has the knife its no big deal. I don't know if he has an Emerson but I do know he is super trustworthy and does an excellent job. Get a hold of him and see what he says.

I actually have found someone that produces custom scales for knives. He is currently working on custom Micarta scales for my Benchmade Skirmish.
He'd probably be able to work something out for you too.
Email him at thesunusn (at) Gmail (dot) com
