I've checked several local hardware and home improvement stores and can't seem to find file cards. Are there local stores that anyone is aware of that typically stocks these? I would rather not order something so small and cheap online if i can help it.

thanks
Dustin

Hoss,

Check with your local "Not-so-Lowe's". They are like most "Big-Box" stores. They have them today, but when they run out, they may never have them again. Picked up one for less than $10 bucks.

I hate to say it, but you would probably have better luck on-line. Only problem with on-line stuff is shipping may kill-ya.

Tricks I use.
A Brass wire brush works good.
To dig out stuck Debris use a piece of stiff brass shim stock approx 1"x3" long. Use it as a scraper along the grooves until you wear teeth into the end of the stock. The teeth you made in the shim stock helps dig out the debris. You can tape one end up to protect your palm.
I don't prefer the wire cards because they have hardened spring steel wires and are harder on file teeth than Brass.
Good Luck!!!

thanks guys. I'll make a run to lowe's. i checked my home depot and they didn't have one a while ago but i'll check again. i'll also look into the brass brushes.
